Prague-Vienna-Connection

In the year 2010 this Group came together to play their first concerts in Prague. Numerous shows followed and within short time the group established its name in the European jazz scene: PVC performed at international festivals and in renowned clubs and convinced their audiences: Jazzfestival Policka,Horice(Czech Republic), "Triest-Loves-Jazz" Festival (Italy), Jazzveneto (Italy), Jazzfestival Kosice (Slovakia),Fehring(Austria),Groznijan Jazz Festival (Croatia),Zürich, Davos, Scuol, St.Moritz, Arbon, Sissach in the Switzerland,Birdland in Neuburg/Donau, Jazzclubs Regensburg, Weinstadt, Bamberg,Ludwigsburg in Germany and Porgy & Bess and Jazzland in Vienna or Reduta and Jazzdock in Prague.

The group includes singer Dorothea Jaburek, who has sung her way into many hearts with her laconic velvet voice and penchant for experimentation, as well as the wonderful pianist Julia Siedl, a sought-after newcomer on the Viennese Jazz scene. Frantisek Uhlir lovingly calls them "the pearls". He is one of the most well-known European bassists. His extreme range of playing both at the basis and as a soloist makes him a steady presence of instrumental Jazz. Jaromir Helesic, Uhlir's companion of many years and also a constant star of the Prague music scene, supports the luxurious ensemble on the drums.

Next to some select songs from the "Great American Repertoire", PVC's repertoire consists of own compositions by Jaburek, Siedl and Uhlir. The music describes a wide range of emotions and takes its picks from all Jazz styles. PVC - no plastic sound! Come and listen.
