voice & bass

voice & bass is a unique Duo with a very lyrical, filigree, soulful and beautiful sound. It tells a lot of different colorful stories with its music.

Both are experienced and passionate musicians, skilled in many styles of music. They are writing originals plus playing Jazz, Latin, Funk and Pop classics in special arrangements. 

Judith Erb sings in English and German language and Nicole Badila plays 5- and 6-string basses as well as acoustic bass. This enables a broad palette of musical expression.

voice & bass was founded in 2009. From then on they performed on some interesting concerts, festivals, the International Music Fair in Frankfurt/Germany as well at the Bass-Day "Feel the Bass I" with headliner Victor Wooten.

In 2011 Ulrich Velte, producer for TV and broadcast music, heard voice & bass and wanted to do CD production with Judith and Nicole. 

2012 was a buisy year of writing and recording this double album. 

CD release in April 2013.
