Yvonne Sanchez first performance was in Poland as a percussionist with the Polish rock star legend Joseph Skrzek. Later during her German stay, she started to play bass guitar and piano, but regardless her passion for musical instruments she never planned to become, In 1997 she won the poll held by the Czech magazine Harmony which covers classical, jazz and world music as the best jazz singer and in 1998 Yvonne was awarded with Vocalist of the Year by the Czech Jazz Society.
