Das Duo Bubachala spielt ruhig meditative Musik, die ihre Grundlage in der nordindisch-klassischen Musik hat. Es spielt klassische und abgeänderte Ragas in Alap- und Jhor-Formen. Die Musik des Duos verbindet indische Skalen und Artikulation mit europäischem Melos.

The members of Bubachala play a quiet, mediatative music based on the north indian classical system of ragas. They play the the alap and jhor parts of these ragas, and combined in them, indian articulation with a jazz feeling.
Charles Davis with his flutes weaves magical and meditative improvisations over a carpet of hypnotising tanpura sounds.
Charles and Buba have played with indian musicians of world renown, such as Sandip Bhattacharya (who has accompanied Hari Prasad Chaurasia), Ramesh Shotham from the Kanataka College of Music and Udai Mazumdar (who has accompanied Ravi Shankar).
