Flagge englisch Flagge englisch triologue

german-canadian Rocky Knauer, who was Chet Baker‘s and Benny Bailey‘s No. 1 Bassplayer in Europe, Pittsburgh born drummerlegend Allen Blairman and Ulli Jünemann, younger lion of the german jazz saxophone, who spent most of his jazz - time in the jazz mecca of Amsterdam and the Hague, meet to create music between three generations.

triologue doesn't heed the usual hierarchies of the saxophone trio, which cast the rhythm section in a supporting role - even it takes it‘s resources out of the american songbook - Instead, triologue proposes a collective model, in which all parts carry more equal weight, and none necessarily takes the lead. triologue reminds of the great recordings of sonny rollins,

chet baker, ornette coleman, creating new shapes, colours and melodic and rhythmic ideas on stage.
