2010 the Cologne-based organ-trio SWINGER CLUB released their fourth CD "11 years of Orgel Madness" (supermusic) and in so doing continued what they started in 2001 with "Welthits als Jazz" (The world's greatest hits as jazz).
"These unbelievable jazz interpretations of old rock and pop hits are surprising, shocking, slick and sensational. "Monsters of Jazz" is a must for every record collection. " GALA
"Three musicians have sought and found each other: Andreas Hirschmann on the organ, bassist Jan von Polheim and drummer Martell Beigang. They transform hits into jazz by stripping them down to their basic framework and squeezing them into a hipster suit. Along with straight ahead numbers and cool grooves there is time and space for astonishing moments of epic scale. " STADTREVUE KÖLN
In the last year Swinger Club caused excitement in an unusually broad public at over hundred concerts both at home and abroad. The trio brought a smile to the faces of jazz purists at renowned jazz festivals (Aalener Jazzfestival, Leverkusener Jazztage, Groovenight Hilden, Enjoy Jazz Heidelberg), shocked the crowd at cultural events and gave inspiring performances on television.
