- born 1963 in Berlin / Musical Training: 1974-80 Special School for Music Halle/S., 1980-86 study at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Music College, Leipzig (Main Subjects Conducting, Piano and Composition)
- 1986-88 additional course of study in composition at the Leipzig College of Music
