Mo'Blow

JAZZ, FUNK, GROOVE

In 2002 the Saxophone player Felix F. Falk left Berlin for Liverpool where he lived for the period of one year. In this town with its famous music scene he put together the Band Project "SahneFunk".

The fine blend of the groovy compositions of bandleader Felix F. Falk mixed together with the funky sound of his musicians created the ingredients for a band which rapidly became well known in the whole area of Liverpool/ Manchester. After the recording of their first CD "SahneFunk - Live in Liverpool" the quartet went on a two week CD release tour playing in clubs throughout the north of England.

Returning to Germany in 2003 Felix F. Falk looked for new musicians to keep the project going and was soon able to find excellent artists to share his enthusiasm for "SahneFunk". The band then was named "Mo' Blow" and now contains pianist Matti Klein and Tobias Fleischer on Bass. With the drummer André Seidel is complete and ready to funk. Together with Felix F. Falk on saxophone and percussion "Mo' Blow" produces an incomparable sound. Crackling intros, funky heads, short breaks and checked out unison parts make the compositions of the bandleader very tight and straight forward. On the other hand the musicians have plenty of space and freedom for spontaneous improvisations. This is the concept that makes "Mo' Blow" so lively and surprising.

Certainly one of the Highlights for all of "Mo' Blow" fans and for the band itself is their annual summer tour. Always the world class guitar player Tony Ormesher from Liverpool (GB) is invited to tour with them. With 23 concerts in only 21 days "Mo' Blow " made their biggest tour so far. Sponsored by the well known paper "Die JAZZZEITUNG" they toured through Germany, England, Belgium and France. Don't miss your chance to hear "Mo' Blow " - one of the most exciting jazz funk bands around!!
