Max Grosch took up violin lessons at the age of 4.

After completing his Bachelors in Music Performance at the Augsburg Conservatory under Prof. Lydia Dubrovskaya, Max was awarded with a full scholarship to study at the Moores School of Music in Houston/Texas, where he earned his Masters Degree of Music as a student of Prof. Emanuel Borok.

He further was awarded a scholarship to continue his studies at the New School University, New York as student of Hal Galper, Kenny Werner, Vincent Herring, John Blake, Johannes Weidenmüller and Gerard D' Angelo.

He participated in masterclasses with Bob Mintzer, Rufus Reid, Billy Hart, Joe Lovano, Rick Pekham, Bob Brookmeyer, Jane Ira Bloom, Dick Oatts, Derrick Gardiner, Igor Ozim, Benjamin Schmid, Mikhail Sekler, Vassiliy Lobanov, Lydia Dubrovskaya, Emanuel Borok, Isabella Petrosjan.

Currently Max Grosch is holding the position of Professor for Jazzviolin at the Conservatory of Klagenfurt, Austria.

He is leader of the Max Grosch Quartet and member of quite a few other bands.
