Education:

Royal Danish Academy of Music trumpet and theory (1954-55).

Trumpet studies under Cecil Collins at Manhattan School of Music, New York (1962).

Composition and theory under Svend Erik Werner (1972-73).

Principal engagements:

Ib Glindemanns orchestra (1955).

Member of "Jazz Quintet 60" (1960-63).

Member of Danish Radio's Radiojazzgroup (1962-64).

Member of the Danish Radio Big Band (1964-82). Later guest conductor with DRBB.

Co-leader of jazz-rock group "Iron Office" (1976-78).

Many concert engagements as soloist and orchestra leader in Denmark and abroad.

Performed with, amongst others, "Peter Herzbolzheimers Rhythm Combination and Brass" and "European Jazz Ensemble".

Teacher of trumpet and improvisation technique at The Royal Dutch Music Conservatory in Hilversum (1991-92).

Since 1986 leader of brass ensemble "First Brass".

Since 1987 producer with record company "M-A Music".

Since 1994 principally engaged as composer for classical ensembles and soloists.

Winner of the soloist prize at The EBU Festival in Belgium (1983) as soloist, conductor and composer of the suite "Sentiments".
