Walter Ganda

Begine to play drums 12 years old with local rock bands and after his discovering of jazz and blues music he goes to a private music school at Capolinea Jazz Club di Milano, then for 3 years at Nuova Milano Musica with the teacher Carlo Sola and for six summertime with New Orleans drummer Freddie Kohlman. In many years activity he played with Big Band di Attilio Zilioli, Glauco Masetti, Leandro Prete, Paolo Tomelleri, Sergio Fanni, Rudy Migliardi, Lino Patruno, Laura Fedele. In the early 80ies joined Ambrosia Brass Band becoming after few years the leader of the band.

In 37 years carreer he performed in the major italians jazz festivals as well as in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, USA (at the Heritage Festival in New Orleans in 1985) and playing with international jazz musicians as Earl Warren, Rolf Cizmek, Dado Moroni, Roy Williams, Bob Haggart, George Masso, Geoff Bull, Spiegle Wilcox, Oscar Klein, Sammy Rimington, Butch Thompson, Tony Scott, Ralph Sutton, Lillian Boutte', Scott Hamilton, Red Richards, Lloyd Lambert, Jimmy Woody, Gray Sargent, Bob Wilber e Kenny Davern.

With those musicians he recorded more then 40 recordings in Europe and America, sound tracks film as "Bix" by Pupi Avati and radio and TV programs.
