Following four previous releases with his trio WE THREE (GER/USA), the groups' cd 'MOMENT TO MOMENT! ' was released in september 2009 and presented at concerts, radio broadcasts and workshops the same year.

Appearing on numerous concert tours, festivals and cds since '86, guitarist Michael Arlt has been working with an expanding group of international musicians, including Red Holloway, Paquito D'Rivera, Houston Person, Maria de Fatima, Jerry Granelly, Rick Hollander, Joris Teepe, Leszek Zadlo, José Cortijo, Thomas Stabenow, Luciano Biondini, Oliver Kent, Henning Sieverts, Falk Willis, Keith Copeland, Tony Lakatos, Mathias Ruegg, Jon Sass, "Grooveyard" or Drum'n Bass act "Weathertunes", Gustavo Bergalli, Kip Reed, Adrian Mears, PORTINHO TRIO: Portinho, Itaiguara Brandao, Klaus Mueller.

Touring in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Germany and the US, his music has been showcased on a variety of radio and tv programs.

Michael Arlt is assistant professor at Würzburg Music University, Germany and taught at a number of jazzworkshops/clinics, a. o. at ArtEZ Conservatory, NL and Berklee College of Music, Boston.

Together with french organist Jean-Yves Jung and drummer Keith Copeland he co-lead CROSS TALK.

Arlts varied discography als leader, accompanist and guest soloist lists more than 40 CDs to date.
