Der gebürtige "Schwarzwälder" lebt seit mehr als 20 Jahren im Raum Düsseldorf.
Er studierte an der Swiss Jazz School bei Billy Brooks. Er ist ein sehr erfahrener Jazzdrummer und arbeitete u.a. mit Silvia Droste, Jack van Poll, John Goldsby, Lydia van Dam, Peter Weniger, Fay Victor, den Sultans of Swing, Paul G. Ulrich, Dieter Greifenberg, Steffen Kamper, Norbert Gottschalk, Martin Sasse, Henning Gailing, Rolf Römer u.v.a. zusammen. Zahlreiche CD - TV - Funkproduktionen dokumentieren dies.
Peter BaumgärtnerHailing from the Black Forest, Peter has been living in the Düsseldorf area for more than twenty years. He studied under Billy Brooks at the renowned Swiss Jazz School.
An experienced jazz drummer, Peter has worked with Silvia Droste, John Goldsby (WDR Big Band), Norbert Gottschalk, Jack van Poll, Peter Weniger, Beverly Daley, Klaus Osterloh, John Marshall (WDR Big Band), the Sultans of Swing, the Düsseldorf's Kommödchentheater, and the Hair musical – to name but a few. His work has been recorded in a wide variety of CD, radio and TV productions.
For the last nine years, Peter has been organising and heading the performing side of the Hilden Jazz Days. As the vice chairman of the city's Jazz in Düsseldorf association, he is also responsible for programme design at the Düsseldorf Jazzschmiede, which has since developed into a jazz club of world renown.
Since 10 years he is a companion in the event company sensitive colours.
