The latest releases of guitar player/composer Philipp van Endert provide further evidence of his sensitive grasp of dramatic tension. Philipp van Endert developed into an important voice in today's European jazz scene. Since completing his studies with a scholarship at the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston/USA,.. 94) with.. magna cum laude.. he has been touring and recording all over Europe and in some parts of America. During the past years he has played on more than 25 CD releases (11 as a leader, co-leader and producer) and was invited to perform his music on numerous international Jazz festivals including the famous Montreux Jazz festival. His energetic as well as lyrical playing as a sideman or bandleader is highly esteemed by his fellow musicians and has brought him together with jazz greats Mike Stern, Danny Gottlieb, Lajos Dudas, Jarek Smietana, Karl Berger, Gerd Dudek, Kenny Wheeler, Adrian Mears, Rick Margitza a. o.
