Jazz pianist, bassist and drummer – a perfect recipe for great Jazz. Das in 2011 gegründete Leo Volskiy Jazz Piano Trio präsentiert die klassische Bebop-Besetzung und die dementsprechende Musik. Das aktuelle Programm “Bud’s Mood” besteht überwiegend aus Bebop-Standards (von Bud Powell, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, George Shearing, Tedd Dameron, Hank Jones, Dizzy Gillespie etc. ).

The debut album of pianist Leo Volskiy was recorded on December 2011 in New York in collaboration with one of today's best rhythm sections - bassist John Webber and drummer Joe Farnsworth. The CD contains arrangements of Broadway songs as well as tunes of the great American Jazz Pianists. There are also two original pieces on the CD that present Leo as not only a pianist but also as a composer. They combine with the other songs to form a fine balance and add to the overall sound of the album without ever disturbing the mood or concept. In other words, you hear a piano trio in the best tradition of classic american jazz with lots of great innovative ideas.
